Imation recently announced the IronKey Workspace Provisioning Tool, which speeds up and simplifies provisioning of Windows 8.1 desktops using Microsoft’s Windows To Go on IronKey Workspace USB drives. The tool can provision up to 42 IronKey Workspace drives in approximately an hour.

With the IronKey Workspace Provisioning Tool, IT pros can confidently and rapidly arm a department or team with a single Windows 8.1 corporate “Golden Image” on rugged, secure Microsoft-certified IronKey Workspace W500 or W300 USB drives, using a process similar to the way laptops are provisioned, but much faster.

After installing the software on a Windows 8.1 laptop, customers attach two seven-port USB hubs. The software allows IT desktop administrators to choose from a variety of formatting options – including 32-bit, 64-bit, centralized device management and remote BIOS updates. The tool can provision up to 14 certified USB devices at once, provisioning all 14 in approximately 20 minutes.
