IronKey meets with Middle Eastern banks to discuss online banking fraud

IronKey will meet with Middle Eastern banks at the FT Summit in Abu Dhabi to discuss cyber-crime. The aim is to help banks put in systems that will protect their clients and prevent online banking fraud.

Jeremy Freeman, director financial services at IronKey has said,

“While banks in the West have long been attacked by sophisticated and organised cyber-gangs, all signs indicate that Middle East banks and their clients are also at high risk”

Within the past year a London-based cyber-gang tried to steal over $220m from online banking accounts worldwide.

Security experts are questioning the traditional anti-virus prevention methods, with concerns they do not do enough to protect online banking access.

Trusted Access for Banking, from IronKey, delivers a secure and safe environment for online banking users.
